Product design is my life’s work.
In 5th grade, I made a whale website that taught me the basics of HTML. In 7th grade, I made a Harry Potter fan website that I monetized via Amazon Associates. Before making it my career, I was always the person people asked for help with their websites.
After starting my career in marketing, I changed directions in 2018 to be dedicated to product design & strategy. But I still love to bring my marketing & business smarts to the table to design and launch effective, profitable, usable, and lovable digital experiences.
I use design thinking to empathize with the spectrum of people using a service – beginners, power users, and everyone in between. I agonize over making sure that every pixel has a point in the overall flow of the product, and that nothing is without a home. I reduce complex problems down to usable interfaces. I take disparate ideas and feedback to reflect team consensus in the final design. I especially love to listen to direct customer feedback via helpdesk requests to understand the exact friction points in a product. I refuse to be the kind of creative who can’t take feedback or thinks their process is the only process. I pride myself on my ability to build positive relationships, teach and be taught, and be apart of a team.
